Welcome to the NH Behavioral Health Workforce Center

The NH Behavioral Health Workforce Center is a collaboration among Dartmouth Health, NH BH Providers, NH Educational Institutions, and our friends in State Government all working together to make NH the best place in the country to train and practice behavioral healthcare!

Welcome - How can we help?

Training: The BH Workforce Center helps you discover new roles, find training, connect with supervised training sites, and achieve certification to practice in NH.

Jobs: The BH Workforce Center guides you to the employers  who have open mental health jobs and who need your talents, expertise, and energy!

Career Pathways

Our biggest goal is to help you find your 'Career Pathway' as you learn about and train for a role in behavioral healthcare. Whether you are just setting out on your journey, looking for a career and life change, or are already working in a Behavioral Healthcare role, there are a thousand paths open to you. Career Pathways serve as maps that guide you through the first, second, and next steps in a rewarding career, including various behavioral health professional / bhp job opportunities. This is a place where we can bring together the many education, training, interning, certification, licensing, and job opportunities offered by New Hampshire's close-knit behavioral health community. We encourage you to visit the websites and benefit from the numerous resources provided by community members. You can return to this resource to occasionally check the map and reorient your own personal path in mental health jobs in New Hampshire.

NH BH Workforce Summit - Reports

Our other big goal is to prepare the environment to attract, nourish, and sustain the many professionals our state needs to support individuals who struggle with mental health and substance misuse. Every year we gather together leaders from all sectors - take stock of where we are - and recommend course corrections. Borrowing from rocket science - we are all working together to increase thrust (competitive wages,  good benefits, great working conditions) and reduce drag (barriers to supervision, barriers to certification, affordability). We are all committed to making NH the best place in the country to practice behavioral healthcare.
