The NH Behavioral Health Workforce Center supports individuals to find training, achieve certification / licensing, connect with supervised training sites, find new roles, advance careers, and find camaraderie with others providing behavioral healthcare across NH .
One of the goals of the NH Behavioral Health Workforce Center is to clarify 'Career Pathways' for individuals who wish to work, or are already working, in Behavioral Healthcare roles in New Hampshire. Career Pathways are like maps that point the way for first, second, and next steps in a rewarding career. This is a place where we can bring together the many education, training, interning, certification, licensing, and job opportunities offered by New Hampshire's close knit behavioral health community. We hope that you will visit the websites and benefit from the many resources of community members. You can come back to this resource to occasionally check the map and reorient your own personal path.
Our first Career Pathway is for Peer Support Specialists. This pathway was created as part of the Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) "Rural Behavioral Health Workforce Centers – Northern Border Region" program. Thank you to the NH Department of Health and Human Services, Bureau of Mental Health Services for clarifying training and certification requirements.
